James Elmo Mays, Jr., age 72, beloved husband, brother and uncle, passed awayDecember 2, 2019 at his residence in Hawkinsville, Ga.A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilcox County, Ga. with Rev. Freddy Hogg officiating.
Mr. Mays was a native of Fitzgerald, Ga. and a member of the Baptist faith.He was a 1966 graduate of Hawkinsville High School.Jimmy was a Veteran of the Army and Air Force. He was employed by Pabst Blue Ribbon and then worked with Perdue Chicken Company.He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Laura Nell Graham Mays.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Mays of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brothers, Larry (Joyce) Mays of Johns Creek, Ga., Rodney Mays of Duluth, Ga., Jerry Mays of Clarkesville, Ga.; nephews, Joe Mays, Jordan Mays, John Rodney Mays.
