James Rodney Mixon, Sr., 68, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at his residence.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Carnes officiating.
Mr. Mixon was a native of Dade County Florida.He was a member of the Baptist faith and attended the New Life Church of God in Cochran, Ga.James was an Air Force Veteran and retired civil service from Robins Air Force Base.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn R. Mixon of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sons, James Rodney Mixon, Jr. of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Jason Wayne Mixon, Sr. (fianc, Maria Parker) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughters, Christy Edge (Chuck) of Hawkinsville, Ga., Kimberly Nell Mixon, (fianc, Michael Smith) of Hawkinsville, Ga. and aunt, Bernice Massel of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
