James Garland Perry, age 74, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died on Friday, December 1, 2017 at his residence. Celebration of life services will be held at 1p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Lawrence Bennett Harness Horse Training Facility. Services will be held in the track kitchen with Rev. Freddy Hogg officiating.
James was born in Lodi, Ohio on January 8, 1943 to Garland Roberts Perry and Mary Warner Perry. He was a member of the Methodist faith but attended Corinth Baptist Church. Mr. Perry was a retired self-employed harness horse trainer.
Those left to forever cherish his memory include his wife, Joanne Perry of Hawkinsville, Georgia; son, Jim Perry, Jr. of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; daughter, Denise Perry of Hawkinsville, Georgia; step-daughter, Kimberly Paster of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; brothers, Carl White, Dawn White and David White all of Grant, Oregon; sister Bobbie Jean Gruser of Akron, Ohio. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
