James R. Shirley, 75, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the Dublin VA Hospital in Dublin, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating.Burial will be in Orange Hill cemetery.
Mr. Shirley was a native ofPulaski County, Ga.He was a self-employed paint contractor and a member of the VFW.Jim was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Tommy Shirley and Larry Shirley.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Babb Shirley; sons, Johnny A. Shirley, Robert T. Shirley, James R. Shirley, Jr.; daughter, Teresa Elmore; brother, Jack Shirley; sisters, Mary Smith, Marjorie Busbee, Dorothy Graham, Joanne Roberts; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donald Fortin, Tommy Shirley, Dennis Graham, Robert Graham, Alvin Roberts, Jeff Coleman, Steve Coleman and Ronald Busbee.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
