James was a native of Hawkinsville, Ga. and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.He was employed by L3C Communications.James was preceded in death by his father, Jim Shirley.
Survivors include his mother, Bertha Babb Shirley of Hawkinsville, Ga.; wife, Margaret Shirley of Steens, Miss.; daughter, Kellie Louise Shirley of Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, Robert Thomas Shirley of Hawkinsville, Ga., Johnny A. Shirley of Rome, Ga.; sisters, Debra Edge of Warner Robins, Ga. and Teresa Elmore of Hawkinsville, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Shirley, Jr., James Henry Fountain, Thomas Eugene Fountain, Donald C. Fortin, Ronnie Bennett and Bob Bennett.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. before the service in the chapel.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
