James Edwin Stewart, 86, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012 in Montgomery, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Clark Funeral Home on July 30, 2012 at 3p.m. with Rev. Stewart Joiner officiating. Burial will be private at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Wilcox County.
Mr. Stewart was a native of Eastman, Georgia and a longtime resident of Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was a member of the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church and Romeo Club. James was a civil service worker at Warner Robins Air Force Base and also self-employed.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Louvenia Martin Stewart of Montgomery, Alabama; son, James Martin Stewart (Rhonda) of Montgomery, Alabama; sister-in-laws, Joyce Dortch (Frank) of Hawkinsville, Georgia and Thirsa Martin of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Wesley Stewart (Kristi) and Andrew Stewart both of Montgomery, Alabama; step-grandchildren, Cater Elliott, Caroline Elliott and Charlie Elliott; great-grandchildren, Brannen Stewart and Peyton Stewart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Bob McLeod, Jim McLeod, Reuben Roberts, Bip Bullock, Byron Lynch and Harris Goss.
Visitation will be held from 1p.m. to 3p.m. at Clark Funeral Home on July 30, 2012.
