James Thomas (Billy) Curry, Sr.
James Thomas, (Billy) Curry, Sr., 78, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Dr. Don McClung officiating.Burial will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Curry was a native of Pulaski County, a member of First Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of the Korean War.He was a retired Dry Cleaner and former owner of Curry's Cleaners. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louise Curry andbrother, John Curry.
Survivors include his wife, Grace M. Curry of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughter, Brenda Parham of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Son, James Thomas Curry, Jr. (Tommie) (Elizabeth) of Augusta, Ga.; Grandchildren, Valerie Attaway (Steven) of Savannah, Ga.; Jeanna Grebinger (Jon) of Cairo, Ga. and Lindsey Parham of Hawkinsville, Ga.; One Great-grandchild, Chason Grebinger of Cairo, Ga.; Sister, Peggy Chafin of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Brothers, Charles Curry of LaGrange, Ga. and Beau Curry of Hawkinsville, Ga.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Bryant, Johnny Curry, Tommy Curry, Gene Hardy, Ernest Jones and Jimmy Howard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, Ga. or the Heart Fund.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
