Jannie Ruth Thomas Wright

Mrs. Jannie Ruth Thomas Wright, 73, of Hawkinsville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, April  19, 2022 at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Ga.  Services will be held at Springfield Baptist Church, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 am.

Mrs. Wright was a native of Houston County, Ga. and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  She was a retired medical transcriptionist having worked at Taylor Regional Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Emanuel and Lessie Thomas; son, Rico Wright and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband, P. R. Wright of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sons, Roderick T. Wright (Angel) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Merrick Wright (Mary), Robert Tate (Gayle) of Washington State; Craig Mims (Angela) of Covington, Ga., Cedric Barnes of Americus, Ga.; daughters, Veronice McGhee (Lawrence) of Columbus, Ga., Mary Faulkner (Eric) of Lawrenceville, Ga., Kelly Herring (Reginald) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brothers, Rufus Thomas of Hawkinsville, Ga., Alfornia Thomas (Louise) of Miami, Florida, oldest brother, Willie Thomas of Chicago; sisters, Julia Royster of New York, Elwanda Thomas of Marietta, Ga.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
