Jean Hill Brown, 93, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died August 25, 2009 at Kingsford Personal Care Home in Hawkinsville, Ga.Funeral services will be held at2 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Westview Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Rhodes and Elder Raybon Lord officiating.Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Pulaski County, Ga.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Wilcox County, Ga. and a member of the New Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Wilcox County.She was a retired school teacher for Pulaski County Schools, retiring in 1976 after 23 years of teaching. She enjoyed being a member of the Garden Club and the Homemaker's Club.She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jimmie D. Brown, Sr.

Survivors include 4 daughters; Jeannette Rhodes (Freddie) of Hawkinsville, Ga., Joyce Crumley of Hawkinsville, Ga., Judy Hertz of Atlanta, Ga., Jackie Evans (Robert) of Waynesboro, Ga., Son, Jimmie David Brown, Jr. (Pat) of Shellman, Ga.; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.; Sister, Nell Woddail of Camden, Ala., many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brian Adams, Phil Anderson, Mark Brown, Paul Crumley, Ashley Evans, Robert Evans, III and Joe Raley.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 27, in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home.
