Jerry Preston Simmons
November 3, 1942 — February 9, 2019
Mr. Simmons was born in Wilcox County and was a member of the Pope City Baptist Church. He worked in sales with NCR Company and sold insurance and real estate. Jerry enjoyed sports, traveling, playing cards and shooting billiards with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Charlie and Louise Pate Simmons; brothers, Tom Simmons and Joe Vernon Simmons as well as his brother in law, Leroy Dominey.
Survivors include his daughter, Jerri Kay Simmons; brothers, James (Lela) Norman Simmons and Bobby (Roxie) Simmons; sisters, Betty Dominey and Rose (Alan) Garner. He is also survived by his sister in laws, Doris Simmons and Averill Simmons.
Visitation will be held from 2p.m. until 2:50p.m. prior to the service in the chapel and immediately following the service at Clark Funeral Home.
The family requests donations be made to Happy Hour Service Center, 202 North Davis Drive, PMB 164, Warner Robins, GA 31093 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
