Jewel Aileen Bennett, 90, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Pinewood Manor Nursing Home in Hawkinsville, Ga.Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Don McClung and Rev. Ken Brooks officiating.Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Bennett was a native of Bleckley County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, Ga.She was a retired Towel Inspector having worked at Opelika Manufacturing Company of Hawkinsville.She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Boyce Bennett; parents, Clyde and Ethel Rozier and brothers, Mendel Rozier, Walter Rozier and Lavar Rozier.

Survivors include daughter, Karen (Frank) Taylor of Cochran, Ga.; son, Boyd (Lana) Bennett of Modesto, California; five grandchildren, Raymond (Isabel) Bennett, Darin (Crystal) Bennett, Heather (Karl) Veal, Kristen (Brent) Latimer and Brett (Rachel) Taylor; eight great-grandchildren, Camille Bennett, Erica Bennett, Lauren Taylor, Duncan, Conner, and Logan Veal,Jackson, Latimer and Lauren Taylor; brothers and sisters, Dallas Lee, Virginia Jameson, Donald (Mickey) Rozier and Milton Rozier; Several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bubba Adams, Ned Newman, Ronnie Ayers, Franklin Cheek, Brent Latimer and Karl Veal.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
