Jimmy "Pop'S" Wyatt Smith

Mr. Jimmy Wyatt Smith “Pop’s”, age 72, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away on October 15, 2022 at Dodge County Hospital.  A visitation will be held Monday October 17, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Mr. Smith was born on August 11, 1950 in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was of the Southern Baptist Faith. He was a disabled Vietnam Veteran and a member of the VFW. He loved fishing, turkey hunting and being with family and especially grandchildren and also loved Alabama Football.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lester and Irene Jackson Smith; siblings, Alberta Smith and Albert Smith.

Those left to forever cherish his memory include his son, Jesse Wyatt Smith II; brothers, Charles Edward Smith (Mary A.) of Lexington, South Carolina, Julius Michael Smith (Nina) of Cuthbert, Ga., Joseph Martin Smith (Barbara) of Cullman, Alabama and Dennis Mitchell Smith (Debbie) of Vada Ga.; sister, Susie L. Dickerson (Lamar) of Bear Creek, Alabama; grandchildren, Michael Lee Smith and Mason Benjamin Smith and many nieces and nephews.
