Joan Conner Yarbrough

Mrs. Joan Conner Yarbrough, 80, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Rev. Luke Watson officiating.Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Yarbrough was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.She was a Licensed Practical Nurse starting her career at the old Taylor Memorial Hospital and retired after 30 years of service.She was dedicated to taking care of others, gardening, crafting, collecting dolls and spending time with others.She especially loved reminiscing with fellow Southern Pine Retirement Villa residents prior to her decline in health.Joan loved her family.She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Conner and Lucille Barton Conner; Wendell Watson, father of her children; brother, Jabo Conner and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include daughters, Beth Wells of Pineview, Ga., Brenda (Frank) Parham of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brothers, Russell Conner of Hawkinsville, Ga., Curtis (Norma) Conner of Perry, Ga., Ray (Betty Jo) Conner of Hawkinsville, Ga., Lamar (Mary Joe) Conner of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sister, Jane (Lamar) Richardson of Pineview, Ga.; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the maintenance fund of Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
