Joanne Lancaster Kennedy
April 26, 1941 — April 3, 2014
Mrs. Kennedy was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.She was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base.Joanne was a faithful wife of 53 years to her late husband, Bennie J. Kennedy and a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Leroy and Beulah Cofield Lancaster and two brothers, Leroy Lancaster and William Lancaster.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey J. (Donna) Kennedy of McDonough, Ga., Jay (Libby) Kennedy of Ringgold, Ga. 30766; brothers, Snell (Laverne) Lancaster of Jacksonville, Florida, Edward ( Margie) Lancaster and Carl (Louise) Lancaster, all of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sisters, Virginia Scarborough and Elsie (Billy) McNair, all of Hawkinsville, Ga.; grandchildren, Timothy Kennedy, Amanda (Jeffrey) Rodriguez and great-grandchild, Alivia Rodriguez and grandchildren, Mitchell Kennedy and Meredith Kennedy.
The family requests that donations be made to Corinth Baptist Church, Corinth Church Road, Hawkinsville, Ga. 31036.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Clark Funeral Home.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
