John Alvin Cobb


John Alvin Cobb, 74, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Leisure Life Care Home in Unadilla, Ga.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Morrison and Clay Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Harrell Cemetery.

Mr. Cobb was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of Midway Baptist Church.He was a retired truck driver and farmer.

Survivors include brothers and sisters; Floyd Cobb and Watson Cobb (Chris) both of Hawkinsville, Ga., Leon Cobb (Jo) of Ft. Valley, Ga., Therell Cobb (Willene) of Eastman, Ga., Lois Watkins (Collie) of Appalachicola, Fla., Dora Watson (Boree), Merle Stephens (James), all of Hawkinsville, Ga. and Kema Sheffield of Eastman, Ga.; Daughter-In-Law, Denise Cobb of Lizella, Ga., Two grandchildren, Tyler and Leanna Cobb both of Lizella, Ga., step-children, Mitchell Sinyard of Hawkinsville, Ga. and Fannie Jesperson of Lithonia, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Terry Cobb, Mitchell Cobb, Gerald Cobb, Dan Johnson, Mark Sheffield and Mitchell Sinyard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leisure Life Staff, Ronnie Fleeman, Johnson Hall, Paul Quick, Billie Joe Sloan, Charles Holmes, Seaborn J. Harden, John Lancaster, Junior Mathis, David Stephens and Roy Rawls.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, Ga.
