John "Johnny" Francis Simmons

January 8, 1954 — September 20, 2022

Mr. John Francis Simmons “Johnny”, 68, of Hawkinsville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with visitation to begin at 11:00 a.m. until 12 p.m. before the service begins.  Mr. Robert Lancaster and Mr. Ernie Holmes will officiate.  Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Johnny was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.  He was a retired electrician having worked for Miller Brewing Company.  He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local 2699, Albany Ga.   He was preceded in death by his father, John Grover Simmons and sister, Judy Elaine Long.

Survivors include his mother, Allene Davis Simmons of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sister, Paula S. Cook (Greg) of Eastman, Ga.; aunt, Betty Jo McCarthy of Cochran, Ga.; niece, Amory Cook of Eastman, Ga.; nephews, Bill Hood of Augusta, Casey Hood of Hawkinsville, Ga.; great nephew, Ethan Hood of Augusta, Ga. and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 145 Corinth Church Rd. Hawkinsville, GA 31036

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
