John Morris Owens

Mr. John M. Owens, age 83, of Hawkinsville, GA died on September 18, 2024 at his residence in Hawkinsville. Services will be held privately at a later date.

John was born on April 18, 1941 to Henry and Exell Owens. He was a graduate of Pulaski County Schools and was married to Martha Proctor Owens who preceded him in death. Mr. Owens worked for many years in the delivery service industry having worked for various companies throughout the years. He lived in Cumming, Georgia for many years and raised his family there before moving back to Hawkinsville. He was a Christian. John enjoyed riding all terrain vehicles and spending time in the outdoors. He was also an avid woodworker in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Exell Owens; wife, Martha Proctor Owens; son, Kerry Owens; brother, Henry Columbus Owens, Jr. and sister, Margaret Owens Nelson.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Angel) Owens of Macon, Georgia; brother, Albert Lee Owens of Hawkinsville, Georgia; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
