John Robert Shelton, age 55, of Hawkinsville, Georgia moved in with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his residence. Services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 6 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Varnell officiating.

Johnny was born on October 4, 1965 in Hawkinsville, Ga. He was a loving father and cousin. He and his brother, Tommy, were owners of Thumping Lizard Race Team. He enjoyed racing, coon hunting, searching for arrowheads and floating on the creek on his land. He was preceded in his death by his brother, Tommy Shelton; mother, Sara Shelton and father Joe Shelton.

Those left to forever cherish his memory include his son, John Michael Shelton of Byron, Georgia; cousins, Richard (Becky) Woods, Patty Woods (James) Barfield and David (Evelyn) Woods. He is also survived by many other extended family members.
