John Pope Sparrow
June 2, 1931 — April 7, 2014
Mr. Sparrow was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.He was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base.Pope was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Masons and Shriners.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Holland Sparrow of Hawkinsville, Ga.; two sons, David Pope (Pam) Sparrow of Hawkinsville, Ga. and The Rev. Kevin Holland Sparrow of Berkeley, California; brother, Billy (Janis) Sparrow of Birmingham, Alabama; sister, Jane Sparrow (Harrell) Barfield of Cummings, Ga.; grandchildren, John William Sparrow and Marc Andrew Sparrow.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday night at Clark Funeral Home.
The family requests that donations be made to the St. Luke's Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
