Joseph Dupree Wood

Mr. Joseph Dupree Wood, 70, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at Taylor Regional Hospital. Services will be held at a later date in Andersonville National Cemetery. Mr. Wood was a native of Pulaski County and a member of the Baptist faith. He was retired from the U. S. Army. He loved to fish in his spare time. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Warnell McDuffie Wood; brothers, Dickie Wood, Johnny Wood; sisters, Barbaree Wood, Linda Kay Wood and Mable Peavy. Survivors include his wife, Jana Johnson Wood of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sons, Jody Wood of Mexico, Joseph McCord of Alabama; daughters, Christy Medlie of Athens, Ga.; brother, Dudley Wood of Albany, Ga.; sister, Tommie Williams of Eastman, Ga. and 3 grandchildren.
