Mr. Gilbert was a native ofHouston County, Ga. and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church.He was Sales Manager for Jeff Smith Ford in Byron, Ga.
Survivors include his parents, Edward James Gilbert, Jr. and Sharon Holmes Gilbert of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughter, Sydni Anne Gilbert of Warner Robins, Ga.; brother, Dale (Darlene) Gilbert of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sister, Donna Helm of Hawkinsville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews and friend and former wife, Heather Griffin of Warner Robins, Ga.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service in the chapel.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Christian Family Center, 21 Outreach Lane, Soperton, Ga. 30457.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
