Linda Gilmore Cabero

Mrs. Linda Gilmore Cabero, 85, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at Taylor Regional Hospital.  Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday September 28, 2023 at Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Varnell officiating.  Family will be at the residence, 20 Kibbie Street, Hawkinsville Ga.

Mrs. Cabero was a native of Brooklet, Ga. and a member of the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church.  She was a retired piano and organ music teacher and a graduate of Wesleyan College.  She played the organ at Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church for 47 years.   She loved her kids, grand kids and great grand kids. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Nicky Cabero; her parents, Rev. Frank Gilmore and Mariam Porter Gilmore; sister, Susanna DeVane.

Survivors include her son, Tony (Kathleen) Cabero of John’s Creek, Ga.; daughters, Holly (Keith) Long of Hawkinsville and Angela (Tony) Woodard of Hawkinsville; brothers, Johnny (Joanne) Gilmore of Clarksville, Va., Benji (Laura) Gilmore of New Bedford, Ma. and David (Rachel) Gilmore of Loganville Ga.; grandchildren, Brittni (Andy) Booth, Nick (Megan) Cabero, Mindy (Will) Curtis, Thomas Woodard, Michael Long, Kelli (Colton) McKinney, great grandchildren, Addison, Camille, Baker, Paul and Ivy.
