MARK WAYNE MCKINNEY

Mark Wayne McKinney, 47, of Pineview, Ga. died March 13, 2009 in Houston County.Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 in the Westview Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Mays, Rev. Freddie Rhodes and Rev. Virgil Vickers officiating.Burial will be in the Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens in Bleckley County.

Mark was a native of Pulaski County and a member of the Broad Street Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his mother, Maudel Rhodes McKinney.He worked civil service at Robins Air Force Base.Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved coaching his sons in all sports with the Hawkinsville Pulaski County Recreation Department.

Survivors include two sons, Carson Mark McKinney and Colton Shane McKinney, both of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Parents, Bland (Liz) McKinney of Pineview, Ga.; Brothers, Bland (Bo) McKinney, Jr. of McDonough, Ga., Kenneth McKinney of Lynchburg, Va.; Sister, Margie (Gary) Ballard of Evans, Ga.; Nephews, Keith (Carolyn) Ballard of North Dakota, Kent (Lisa) McKinney of Macon, Ga.; Nieces, Kelsey Ballard of Evans, Ga., Rebecca Ballard of Nebraska and his companion, Celeste Coleman of Eastman, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Argene Holt, Jr., Wade McElmurray, Matt Stuart, Mike Williamson, Mike Johnston, David Thompson and Micky Wells.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Baker Academy Class of 1979 and friends and co-workers at Robins Air Force Base.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Clark Funeral Home.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
