Martha Stanley Crusenberry
October 19, 1921 — January 14, 2015
Mrs. Crusenberry was born and educated in Laurens County.She married William Dixon Crusenberry in 1946 and settled in Bibb County where she remained until she moved to Hawkinsville in 2003.She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and known for her kind and generous spirit.Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pratt Stanley; husband, William Dixon Crusenberry; brothers, Edward Stanley, Harry Stanley and Reese Stanley.She was an avid reader and supporter of the Public Library System andin later years relied on the Talking Books Foundation.
Survivors include a son, William Dixon Crusenberry, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, JeanSvetanics (Don) of Houston, Texas and Susan Crusenberry Coley (Dick) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Andrew Green, Amy Green Gauthier, Adam Green and Caroline Coley Glenn and five great-grandchildren: Katlyn Sanders, Madison Gauthier, Charlotte Glenn, Jackson Glenn and Hunter Green.
Visitation will be at from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Coley residence, 46 McCormick Avenue, Hawkinsville, Ga.
Donations or memorial gifts may be made to the M. E. Roden Library Foundation: 400 Commerce Street, Hawkinsville, Ga. 31036 or the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery Perpetual Fund.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
