Mary Woods Bracken, 95, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2011 in Orange Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Walker officiating.
Mrs. Bracken was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women, a teacher at Pulaski High School and also retired Vice-President of Accounting at Al Hitzing and Company of Ft. Myers.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wiley Bracken, III; parents, John Thomas Woods, Sr. and Stella Singletary Woods; siblings, Ruth Woods Woodard, Mildred Woods Griner, LaVerne Woods Schraer, George R. Woods, Sr. and John T. Woods, Jr.
Survivors include special nieces and nephew, Patty Woods Drimal of Hawkinsville, Ga., Starr W. Wheeler of St. Simons Island, Ga., G. R. Woods, Jr. (Becky) of Hawkinsville, Ga., brother-in-law, Stanley Bracken of Ft. Pierce, Florida and a host of other nieces and nephews.
