Mary Joyce Dunaway

Mrs. Mary Joyce Dunaway, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 20, 2023 at Kingsford Place in Hawkinsville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Harmony Baptist Church in Unadilla, Ga. with Rev. Mark White officiating. A Visitation will be held starting at 1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be in Harmony Smyrna Cemetery, Unadilla, Ga.

Mary Joyce was a native of Pulaski County and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, her dog, Kennedy Grace, and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Coleman and Josephine Watson Coleman; husband, Wendell Spencer Dunaway; son, Kenneth Dunaway, and infant granddaughter, Ann Dunaway.

Those left to forever cherish her memory include her sons, Larry W. Dunaway (Lynn) and David C. Dunaway (Beverly); daughter, Barbara J. Dunaway; 11 grandchildren: Russ (Rita) Dunaway, Cindy (Keith) Waites, Rebecca (Troy) Smith, Cole (Amy) Dunaway, Matt Dunaway, Christy (Terrance) Grigsby, Kelly (Jon) Graham, Alexandria (Garrett) Walker, Liena (Ty) Tyndal, Catherine Spencer (fiancé, Nate Rice) van Assendelft and Anders van Assendelft; and 16 great grandchildren.
