Memorial services for Mrs. Mary L. Atkins Goddard, 85, of Hawkinsville, Ga. will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church of Hawkinsville, Ga. with Dr. Nita Crump officiating.
Mrs. Goddard was a native of Winsted, Connecticut.She was a member of the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church and a member of the Mary Kicklighter Sunday School Class.She retired from the Florida Department of Transportation.Mary was a member of the Senior Group, AARP, NARFE and Meals on Wheels.She also volunteered at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan L. Hoss, of Hawkinsville, Ga, and Betty A. (Norm) Massengill of Knoxville, Tennessee; sons, Buddy (Shawndale) Goddard of Palatka, Florida and Tom Goddard of Hilliard, Florida; two brothers, Donald Atkins and Roger (Vickie) Atkins, all of Winsted, Connecticut; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
