Mrs. Mary Nancy Elton Henry, 88, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.Due to current government restrictions, a graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Orange Hill Cemetery with Dr. Don McClung officiating.
Mrs. Henry was a native of Washington County, Ga. and a member of the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church.She was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women and was a retired teacher having taught in the Hawkinsville and Pulaski County School Systems.She was a member of the Hawkinsville Lioness Club.She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Henry; sons, Bobby Ray Henry, Tracey Lee Henry; sisters, Ellen Elton Hitchcock, Loma Elton Hitchcock and a brother, Edwin Elton.
Survivors include her sons, Brian (Terry) Henry of Troy, Alabama, Billy "Byrd" Elton (Susan) Henry of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brother, Truit Elton of Tennille, Ga.; grandson, Lance (Lexi) Henry of Warner Robins, Ga.; 3 great-grandchildren ; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hawkinsville First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
