MaryAlice Whelchel of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Broad Street Baptist Church with Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Rev. Jeff Waters officiating.Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery in Macon, Ga.

Mrs. Whelchel was a native of Clarke County, Ga. and a member of the Broad Street Baptist Church and the Auditorium Sunday School Class.She was a retired Revlon Salesperson.

Survivors include her husband, James Whelchel of Hawkinsville, Ga.; children, Richard (Lynn Daigle) Whelchel of Charlotte, N. C., Ronnie (Lynn) Whelchel of Macon, Ga.; Special niece, Judy Johnson (Dean) of Macon, Ga.; Grandchildren, Tiffany Brennan, Brian Whelchel and Brittany Whelchel, all of Macon, Ga.; Sisters-in-law, Sarah Darley of Eatonton, Ga. and Betty Duckworth of Macon, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Whelchel, Ted Laster, Charlie Hill Delmar Howard, Russell Conner, Lamar Conner and Ray Conner.

Pallbearers will be Robert Owens, Robert Herman, Larry Dunaway, David Dunaway, Earl Hilliard, Dennis Howard, Shelley Berryhill and Larry Garrett.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.mat Clark Funeral Home.

The family requests that donations be made to Vista Care Hospice: 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins, Ga. 31088.
