Mary Ellen Giddens

Mrs. Mary Ellen Giddens, 78, of Hawkinsville, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Agape Home Hospice in Dublin, Ga. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Mays officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Giddens was a native of Wilcox County, Ga. and a member of Double Branch Church. She worked at Leshner Mills (Opelika) and retired from the Pulaski County School System. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her niece, great niece and great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Morris Giddens and son, Steve Giddens.
Survivors include her sister, Dianne Herring; niece, Makenna (Jesse) Buffington; great niece, Annabelle Buffington; great nephew, Brooks Buffington; several other nieces and nephews; 3 best friends, Charlene Roberts, Nellie Jones and Mary Posey.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Big Red Booster Club, P.O. Box 493, Hawkinsville, GA 31036.
