Melba Sanders Bowman, 73, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in the Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon, Ga.Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2008 in Orange Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tim Hicks officiating.

Mrs. Bowman was a native of Pulaski County and a member of the Hartford Baptist Church.She was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Bowman; sons, Steve Bowman and Danny Bowman and her sister, Lucille Hanes.

Survivors include brothers and sisters; John Sanders of San Antonio, Texas, Pete Sanders of New Mexico, Lola Coody of Montezuma, Ga., Louise Ricks and Bob Sanders, both of Hawkinsville, Ga. Newt Sanders of Eastman, Ga., Sue Bentley and Faye Bentley both of Hawkinsville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Scotty Bowman, Christy Jones and Daniel Bowman; several great-grandchildren.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
