Melissa Dawn Sinyard

Melissa Dawn Sinyard, 46, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Taylor Regional Hospital.  A private family service will be held April 30 ^th .

Melissa was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of the Baptist Faith.  She developed a passion for nursing at a young age.  Despite her battle with epilepsy, she was able to complete her degree in nursing.  She had a passion for helping others and excelled as a nurse.  She likewise met her second dream of becoming a mother to her son Gavin.  Melissa loved working with flowers and plants, she had a green thumb.  Sunflowers were her favorite. She was preceded in death by her father, Mack Sinyard; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sinyard and Mr. and Mrs. John Lee Bivins; and nephew, Garrett Hunter.

Survivors include her mother, Dolly Sinyard; son, Gavin Dortch; sister, Amy Hunter (Kent); nephew, Landon Hunter; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; Special Friend, Jeff Dortch and Special Friend, Eva Servin.
