Miriam Alice Harton Curth, 90, passed away at Summerhill Senior Community on Monday, December 26, 2011.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, South Carolina. Visitation will be held at Blythe Funeral Home in Greenwood, South Carolina from 12:30p.m. to 1:30p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011.
Mrs. Curth was born in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late Wallace Jordan Harton and Lucile Buehler Harton.She was preceded in death by Henry A. Curth and sister Mary Noel Harton Aldridge.Mrs. Curth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hawkinsville and was retired from McGraw-Hill Publishing Company.She lived most of her life in St. Joseph, Missouri and Atlanta, Georgia.
Survivors include daughters, Miriam Noel Curth (Allan) Kaupinen, Pamela Elizabeth Curth (Ben) Griffin, and son, Jon Christopher (Jane) Curth; sister Shirley Harton Burghardt; seven beloved grandchildren:Lange Allan Kaupinen, Miriam Amanda Griffin Rigg, Wesley Harton (Christy) Kaupinen,Kimberly Kaye Curth, David Benjamin (Maggie) Griffin, Pamela Lindsay Kaupinen and Jamison Chase Curth; one great grandchild, Ben Henderson Rigg and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mimi will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially for her beautiful singing voice, artistic pen, coffee cakes, and outstanding games of scrabble.
