Mitchell was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia on April 18, 1955 and was a member of the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church. Mr. Woods served as the Finance Director for the City of Hawkinsville and was preceded in death by his father, William Jasper Woods.
Mr. Woods is survived by his wife, Lisa Jessup Woods of Hawkinsville; mother, Ellen Shirah of Hawkinsville, Georgia; son, Ben Woods of Jacksonville, Florida; mother-in-law, Kay Jessup of Hawkinsville, Georgia; brothers, Allen (Kay) Woods, Stuart Woods, and John Shirah all of Hawkinsville, Georgia; sister, Susan Giedd of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister-in-laws, Gina Jessup, Julie (John) Teague, and Shealy (Jerry) Bloodworth all of Warner Robins, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Kay Jessup,31 Brookside Drive, Hawkinsville, Ga.
