Nancy Cape

March 30, 1954 — December 13, 2010

Nancy D. Cape, 56, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died December 13, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday December 15, 2010 at the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church with Dr. Don McClung, Rev. Dr. Gary Abbott and Dr. Kelley Pritchett officiating. Burial will be in the Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery in Dooly County.
Mrs. Cape was a native of Pulaski County. She was a member of the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church and the Adult III Sunday school class. She was a graduate of Fullington Academy and had an Associate of Arts degree from Mercer University. She graduated from cosmetology school and practiced for several years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Mrs. Cape was preceded in death by her parents, L.E. and Dorothy Jones Dunaway.
Survivors include her husband William C. Cape, Jr., Hawkinsville, Ga. Sons, Christopher (Leona) Cape and William B. (Melissa) Cape all of Hawkinsville, Ga. Five Grandchildren, Brianna Cape, Brett Cape, Brooks Cape, Dallas Cape and Brice Cape. Uncles, B.E. (Elizabeth) Dunaway and W.S. (Mary Joyce) Dunaway and her aunt, Nan Jones and her pet dog, Dixie.
Pallbearers will be Bill Slade, Tommy Herrington, Kerry Smith, William Cross, Neal Joiner, Leslie Sewell and Travis Smith.
Honorarys will be her sorority sisters along with Linda Hendrix, Beverly Sewell and Aleta Slade.
