Nancy Bowen Conner

Nancy Bowen Conner, age 72, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died at her residence on Thursday, March 6, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 2p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Broad Street Baptist Church with Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Rev. Jeff Waters officiating. Burial services will be private. Visitation will be held immediately following the service in the church social hall.
Mrs. Conner died after a lengthy illness at her residence in Hawkinsville. She was a native of Dooly County anda member of Broad Street Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. Nancy was a graduate of the Vienna High School and was retired from Robins Air Force Base after 35 years of service. Nancy loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great –grandchild, whom were all first in her life. Nancy also loved her pets. She was preceded in death by her grandson, David Russell White and siblings, Grady Bowen, Alma Langford, Mamie Jacobs, Lila Woodard, Ruth Kohler, Harold Bowen and Ralph Bowen.
Survivors include her husband, Russell Conner of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughters, Robin Conner (Bob Johnson), Dee (Drew) Davis, all of Hawkinsville, Ga. and Kim (Blake) Edge of McDonough, Ga.; brother, Alton "Buddy" Bowen of Centerville, Ga., sister, Shirley Walton of Atlanta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, Conner Davis, Caleb Davis, Colby Davis, Sara Edge, Robert Edge, Rachel Edge, Silas Edge, Ari (Hilary) White, Dustin White, Savannah Johnson and 1 great-grandchild, Royce James White.
Flowers will be accepted, but donations may be made to Broad Street Baptist Church Building Fund or Gentiva Hospice, 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins, Ga.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
