Nora Ellen Rhodes Boling, 91, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at 3:00p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hawkinsville with Rev. Freddie Rhodes and Rev. Barry Teutsch officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Barry & Alice Martin, 1296 Lower River Road. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the building fund of Westview Baptist Church, P.O. Box 804, Hawkinsville, GA 31036 or to the donor's favorite charity.
Nora Ellen was born on January 8, 1925. She was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Alice Virginia Rhodes. She was salutatorian of her graduating class from Pineview High School. Nora Ellen was an active member of Westview Baptist Church. After 28 ½ years, she retired from the Pulaski County Board of Education. Nora Ellen's greatest treasures in this life were her faith in God, her family and her friends. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and friendly smile will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard T. Boling, Sr., her son, Willard T. Boling, Jr., her grandsons,Willard T. Boling, III "Boots", Marcus Eugene Martin, and six sisters.
Left to cherish the memories of Nora Ellen are her daughter Alice (Barry)Martin, daughter-in-law Sally Boling, granddaughters Stephanie (Ernie) Powell, Monica (Heath) Bass and Mitzi Martin, grand daughter-in-law Robin Martin; great-grandchildren, Madison, Ellen, Hadden, and Colton Powell, Daniel and Levi Martin, Hudson Bass, Joseph, Lane and Lizzie Goss. She is also survived by a brother, Bill Rhodes and several nieces and nephews.
