Paul Bradley Williams, age 69, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died at his residence on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 of complications related to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). A Celebration of his life will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Gale, Rev. Rick Hamilton and Rev. Paula Lewis officiating. Visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home from 6p.m. to 8p.m. on Friday evening.
Mr. Williams lived in Hawkinsville for 40 years, but was a native of Valley, Alabama.He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served as a Sgt. In the U. S. Air Force.He was co-founder of Owen & Williams Fish Farm in Hawkinsville, Ga.Paul was a member of the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church and was the district coordinator of missions for the Americus district of the UMC.He taught the Julia Evans Joy Sunday School Class for over twenty years.He was also a member and former president of the Hawkinsville Rotary Club.A life-long runner, Paul completed several marathons including the 2007 Athens, Greece marathon.
Survivors include his wife, Linda B. Williams of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Travis Williams of Dahlonega, Ga.; daughter, Carley Williams Johnson of Hawkinsville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Julian and Athena Johnson and one brother, Randy Williams of Lagrange, Ga.
