Mr. Richard (Greg) Shirey, age 61, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 10, 2021.Greg was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army.He was a loving husband and wonderful father and grandfather.He loved all kids and kids loved him.Greg was always joking and making people laugh.His family was his life and he valued every minute spent with all of them.He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother Laverne Ussery and brother, Kenny Shirey.He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Becky Shirey; daughter, Carla Captain; grandson, Isaiah Captain; granddaughter Alivia Captain; sisters, Pam Dyer, Leesa Romines, Linda Vaughn and several nieces and nephews.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
