Robert Edwin Richardson, 83, of Cochran, Ga. passed away at his residence in Bleckley County.Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Chaplain Robert Lancaster officiating.A private family burial was held in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Richardson was born on April 1, 1931 in Bleckley County, Ga.He retired from the Hawkinsville Fire Department in 1996 after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores McDuffie Richardson and son, Robert "Bobby" Richardson.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelley R. Smith (Steve) of Thomson, Ga.; grandchildren, Dayton Smith, Richard Smith, Stephen Richardson, Kelly R. Creamer (Phillip), Eric Richardson, Grace Richardson, Emily Richardson; great-grandchild, Cameron Smith; sister, Betty Aliff; daughter-in-law, Sonya Stephens; several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, but memorial contributions may be made to the Hawkinsville-Pulaski County Fire Department or the American Cancer Society, P.O Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. before the service.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the service.
