Robert D. Stirrett
March 13, 1940 — November 29, 2016
He was a native of Burnside, Michigan and worked for many years as a cabinet maker at C & W Hardware in Cochran, Georgia. Robert was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and member of the VFW. He spent many years working with Harness Horses at the Lawrence Bennett Harness Horse Facility in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Geraldine Stirrett and his son, Philip Look.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Vian Stirrett of Hawkinsville, Georgia.; children, Sheila Stirrett of Dublin, Georgia, Shelly (JR) Byrom of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Robert Stirrett of Maine, Sherry Pridemore of Michigan, Debbie (Michael) Smith of Maine, Ty (Tracy) Peace of Michigan, Tina Johnson of Michigan, Cynthia (Frank) Brown of Centerviller, Georgia, Edward (Lisa) Peace of Michigan and Dale Stirrett of Maine. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
