Rouel W. Bennett, Sr., 77,passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009.Funeral Services will beheld at 2 p. m. Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Clark Funeral Home.Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Dr. Don McClung will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2009.

Mr. Bennett was born February 25, 1932 in Pulaski County and was the son of the late Chester L. and Florence Owen Bennett.He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence Bennett, Kent Bennett and Albert Bennett; sisters, Murielda Wynne and Faye Grinstead.

He served in the U. S. Navy, graduated from Middle Georgia College and retired from Robins, AFB in 1988.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Patsy Nunnally Bennett; son, Wayne Bennett, Jr. and his wife Suzan of Macon; daughters, Belinda Bennett of Lawrenceville and Cathy Siegel and her husband Robin of Macon; grandsons, Josh Siegel and Jonathan Siegel; brother, Russell Bennett and his wife Claudia of Griffin; sister, Eloise Ruble and her husband Don of Dalton; sister-in-laws, Lucille Bennett and Mae Bennett of Hawkinsville; many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Red Long, Pat Nelson, Mike Sinyard, Lee Bennett, Tim Wynne, Timmie Bennett, Sam Ruble and Chet Ruble.

The family asks that those who wish may make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville or the American Cancer Society.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
