Joyce Curry Wammock

Mrs. Ruby Joyce Curry Wammock, 89, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at her residence.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Freddy Hogg officiating.

Mrs. Wammock was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church.  She was a graduate of Hawkinsville High School.  Joyce was an employee of Planters Bank from 1973-1999 and from 2006-2019 where she served as an Internal Auditor and part-time teller.  She was a member of the National Association of Bankers and the Georgia Bankers Association. She loved the outdoors and also hunting and fishing.  Joyce was married for over 50 years to her husband, Charles T. Wammock, Sr.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Wammock, Sr.; brothers, Albert (Buddy) Curry (Sylvia), Claxton C. Wommack (Elizabeth).

Survivors include her sons, Charles Terrell Wammock, Jr. (Teresa), Brad Owen Wammock (Pam); grandchildren, Justin Wammock, Ryan Wammock (Dee), Dalton Wammock (Shiloh), Michelle Dowdy (William); great grandchildren, Kaidyn Martin, Serenity Wammock, Liyah Wammock, Dianna Wammock, Charles Thomas Wammock and Ty Dowdy.

The family will greet friends Friday, June 7, 2024 after 10 a.m. at 785 Perry Highway, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036.
