Sara Elizabeth Lancaster, 87, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Ga.Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 2:50 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, in the social hall of Corinth Baptist Church.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mark White and Mr. Robert Lancaster officiating. The Eulogy will be given by the family.Burial will be in Powers Cemetery.
Sara was a native of Pulaski County, Ga., and a member of Corinth Baptist Church.She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. Sara was a nurturer, cook, provider, #1 baby sitter, adopted mama, grandmama and great-grandmama.Sis was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Roswell Lancaster, Sr. and Emmie Maud Slade Lancaster; brother, Thomas Roswell Lancaster, Jr.; sister-in-law, Bette Smith Lancaster, nephew, Jaye Stewart and great-nephew, Robert Jerry Lancaster, III.
Survivors include a brother, Robert Jerry Lancaster, Sr. (Diane) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; nieces, Betsy Taunton (Jeff) of Pineview, Ga., Elizabeth Simmons (Vern) of Hawkinsville, Ga., nephews, Tom Lancaster, III of Pearson, Ga., Robert Jerry Lancaster, Jr. (Jeannie) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Great nieces and nephews,Jenna (Troy) Mashburn, Trae (Melissa) Stewart, Tori (D.J. ) Leavens, Miranda Elizabeth Simmons, Chance (Tiffany) Lancaster, Joseph (Erica) Stewart, Monica (Cole) Moon, Mindy Lynn Lancaster, Michael Lanier Simmons, Michelle Diane Simmons, Maisie Ruby Lancaster, Jessica (Michael) Cannon, Andrew (Nola) Taunton, Sister in Law Joyce Lancaster, Cochran,Ga., Ann Young, Scott (Sydney) Shepherd, Doug (Denise) Shepherd, 13 Great Great Nieces and Nephews
