Mrs. Shirley Ann Denham Maeurer, resident of Finleyson, Ga. was called home to walk with the Lord on November 20, 2021.Shirley was blessed with 74 years on this earth to share with family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband, George David; daughter, Sonja Langston (Paul) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; son, Daniel Knowles; sister, Annie Maine; nieces Janice and Geena; three grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and lots of adopted family members.
Shirley was born in Arabi, Ga. on November 17, 1947 to Lemuel and Mary Frances Denham whom preceded her in death.
Shirley and Dave were married November 9, 1996 in Warner Robins, Ga.Shirley and Dave enjoyed a long marriage.
Shirley was employed at Warner Robins Air Force Base for 39 years as a Traffic Manager.She was a veteran of the Army and served as a trainer for many years.She also served in the Army Reserves.She served during Desert Storm with the Air Force Reserves as a cargo handler.
Mrs. Maeurer was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher.She was a member of the Hoe & Hope Garden Club of Pineview, Ga. and the photographer for the club.
Shirley had an unending capacity for love and helping others.She will be missed by all of those that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be at Clark Funeral Home on November 26th from 6 to 8 p.m.
Graveside funeral services will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pineview, Ga. on November 27, 2021 at 11 a.m.Pastor Hicks Brown and Rev. John Cross will be officiating.
