Steve M Studstill, 92, passed away early Thursday morning April 30th in his sleep. Visitation will be Tuesday May 5, 6-8pm at Clark Funeral Home, 142 Commerce Street, Hawkinsville. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Richard Soper and Rev. John Walker to be on May 6th 1pm at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Hawkinsville, followed by burial at Orphans Cemetery Eastman.
Steve was born September 18 1922 to the late Steve W. and Essie Law Studstill from Dodge County. A WWII Army Veteran. Owner of Studstill Farm Garden & Nursery Center for 20 years, continuing his landscaping skills and love offlowers after moving to Hawkinsville. Oldest active member of FUMC Hawkinsville where he served on the administrative board and teacher of the Mary Kicklighter Sunday School Class.
Past President of Pulaski County Lion's Club & Lion's District Zone Chairman. Active City and State Member of AARP and charter member of Civitan Club.
Predeceased by parents Mr & Mrs S.W. Studstill , brother Jerome Studstill, sister in Law Audrey Studstill and niece Suzette Sanders.
Survived by his wife of 50 years Laura Murrelle Studstill, daughter Sandra Jones, Dallas Tx, son Lawrell Studstill & wife Elayne, daughter Hazel Studstill Atlanta GA, Grandchildren Julianna Benfield Austin Tx, Lindsay Wilson NYC, Madelyn Studstill Atlanta, GA, great grandchildren Liberty Benfield, Jett Benfield Austin Tx.,great niece Jessica Sanders Ross Eastman GA. Longterm caregivers Lilly Shennette and Fannie Battle.
