Thomas Alton Shirley, age 67, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Maynard officiating.Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Shirley was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of the Baptist Faith. He was an army veteran.He was a meat cutter having worked with M&T Meats.Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, James and Iva Shirley and brother, Larry Shirley.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Shirley of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Sons, Thomas A. Shirley (Sheila), Jeff Coleman (Friend, Beverly), Steve Coleman (Rene'), all of Hawkinsville, Ga. Daughter, Ellen Black (Jimmy) of Macon, Ga., 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Mary Smith of South Carolina, Marjorie Busbee of Hawkinsville, Dorothy Graham of Eastman, Jo Anne Roberts of Hawkinsville; Brothers, Jim Shirley of Hawkinsville, Ga. and Jack Shirley of South Carolina.

Visitation will be Friday evening, July 10, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
