Mrs. Valane Fordham Woodard, 82, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Pinewood Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with visitation to be from 2 to 2:50 p.m. before the service begins. Rev. Jeff Waters and Rev. Erik Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Giddens-Harrell Cemetery in Eastman, Georgia.
Mrs. Woodard was a native of Dodge County, Ga. and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church. She had worked at Opelika Mfg. Co. and the Pulaski Elementary School. She was a homemaker and loved to sew. Valane loved listening to music, especially Gene Watson. She was a very devoted Christian woman who loved her Lord, her family, (especially grandchildren) and everyone she met.
Survivors include her sons, Tony (Angela) Woodard, Jeff (Kim) Woodard, Chris (Melenie) Williamson; daughters, Patti (Larry) Faircloth, Teresa (Casey) Rogers, Dawn Reynolds; brother, Billy (Joanne) Fordham; sisters, Grace (Clyde) Carrier, Linda Evans; brother in law, Ronald (Barbara) Woodard; nephew, Tracy Woodard; sister in law, Dahlia Woodard; grandchildren, Lauren (Will) Frost, Erik (Cara Lee) Smith, Jay Faircloth, Mindy (Will) Curtis, Thomas Woodard, Andrew (Kimberly) Woodard, Nathaniel Woodard, Lauren (DJ) Harris, Seth Williams, Samantha Paulson, Chelsea (Ed) Weathersbee, Amber (Hunter) Stubbs, Noah Rogers and 21 great-grandchildren.
