Mrs. Vera B. Alexander, age 86 of Hawkinsville, Georgia died on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be at 2p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hock and Rev. Joe Maynard officiating. Visitation will be from 6p.m. to 8p.m on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Clark Funeral Home. Interment will be at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Vera was born on April 20, 1930 in Bleckley County to John and Bertha Bryant. She worked at Opelika in the M. Snower Division and was also an Avon Representative for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry "Buck" Alexander; her parents, John and Bertha Bryant and her son, Ronnie "Fatback" Alexander.
Those left to forever cherish her memory include her sons, Don (Lorene) Alexander, Albert (Sandi) Alexander, Lynn (Beth) Alexander and James Alexander all of Hawkinsville, Georgia; daughter, Brenda Myers of Hawkinsville, Georgia and sister, Sally Dykes of Gainesville, Florida. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
