Wendell Lee Newman

Mr. Wendell Lee Newman Jr., 65, a native of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at Emory St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 21 Cordele Hwy. Hawkinsville, Ga.

Lee was a native of Hawkinsville, Georgia and a member of the Baptist faith.  He was a retired truck driver and loved fishing, playing cards and playing the guitar. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell (Billy) and Mary Elizabeth Kelly Newman.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Newman; sons, Daniel (Stacy) Newman and Michael (Leslie) Newman; daughter, Raina Newman; sister, Francis Sheppard; grandchildren, Carson Newman, Savanna Newman, Sierra Newman, Jada Hinson, Keeli Newman, Zaylee Newman, Zander Newman and Chase Martin; and great-grandchild, Ryland Brannen.
